Welcome to Generational Dentistry, a family-owned private dental office and the realization of a lifelong dream for Dr. Scott Josephson. As a third-generation dentist, Dr. Josephson was inspired early on by the impact dentistry can have not only on smiles, but on families and communities across generations.

Before opening Generational Dentistry, Dr. Josephson spent more than 14 years providing exceptional, relationship-driven dental care in the Mesa area, earning the trust of countless patients and families. Over time, a vision became clear: to create a dental office that feels different—one that redefines how dentistry is experienced.

When you step into our office, our goal is simple: to make dentistry feel calm, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. We believe it’s time to take the fear and anxiety out of dental visits and replace them with trust, connection, and care. Over the past 14 years, Dr. Josephson has been humbled to care for patients at every stage of life—from toddlers to seniors. He has watched children grow into young adults, college students return home, and families evolve over time. Some patients he once treated as children now bring in their own babies, along with parents and grandparents. That full-circle experience is the heart of Generational Dentistry.

Dentistry runs deep in the Josephson family. For nearly 80 years, three generations have provided dental care across the United States. Dr. Josephson’s grandfather opened his private practice in 1946 after serving in World War II. His father dedicated 37 years to public health dentistry, serving underserved communities in New Mexico, North Dakota, and Arizona. Today, Dr. Josephson is proud to continue this legacy of patient-centered, relationship-based care here in the East Valley.
